This Melaleuka nut is about 5 mm (0.2 inches) high. Because of its size this model was made
using a camera mounted on a dissecting microscope. The twig with the nut was rotated slightly
before taking the second photograph. (ie the subject was rotated, rather than the camera being moved.)
Many inanimate subjects are quite easy to photograph since they don't move.
Many natural objects are also not reflective and so the camera flash can be used. There may
be other difficulties such as getting close enough but it is usually quite
easy to get good details in most objects.
